  1. Past hour
  2. I have contacted VTI about getting a twenty inch barrel from Uberti. Nothing in stock. Placed an order in October for a barrel and VTi stated they hoped to get some after the first of the year. Called VTI recently and they are still waiting for shipment from Uberti with no idea when they might receive them.
  3. The "Prybar"on the handlebars is also a hydrant wrench. You can't see that end of it but that's what it does.
  4. It never occurred to me that that was supposed to be a headlight. I thought it was his light for when he got to the fire, because when you're looking through the smoke and the darkness for people to pull to safety, having a light would be a good plan.
  5. I just decided that thing next to the crowbar is the hose nozzle. Originally I thought it was a flashlight. But even with a nozzle, he's still going to need a wrench.
  6. That's what they said in Mary Poppins. Chim chimmery Chim chimmery Chim Chim cheree. A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be. Chim chimery Chim chimery Chim Chim cherroo. Good luck will rub off when I shake hands with you.
  7. Big bills. Reminds me of a Mary Tyler Moore show episode. Somebody was in the newsroom and there was a chance to buy into some stock, but needed $1,000 buy in. And Ted pulls out his wallet and peels out two $500 bills. Mary kind of whispers to Murray, "why does Ted carry $500 bills?", and Murray tells her to watch. "Hey Ted, you got that $20 you owe me?", and Ted says, "Sorry Mur, all I have are $500 bills. Do you have change?" At the end of the episode Murray again asks Ted for the $20, and again Ted tells him that all he has are 500s, "do you have change?" And Murray tells him, "yes I do. I stopped by the bank on the way to work". And he brings a coin sack up out of his desk drawer and plops it down on the desktop and starts counting it out. In nickels. "5, 10, 15, 20, 25..."
  8. I'm interested, but would I'd like to know the shipping cost to 94509 before committing. Thanks, Tully
  9. What a cute little darling, i would like two!
  10. They made a lot of money by stretching the franchise from the original three movies out to nine. People have debated the quality of latter editions for years. The first two are the only ones I saw which so I have no dog in this discussion except listening to my kids debate all nine. They are passionate on all sides.
  11. He doesn't, he chases the fireman while nipping at his ankles the whole time. It's by design, makes the fireman pedal faster enroute to the fire.
  12. That "nickel plated three bar towel rack". I just bought one of them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0014XTJ2W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title It cost a little bit more than six cents, but this one's stainless. That thing underneath the upholstery tacks - that had me confused. I thought the c was an e, and was searching trying to figure out what the hell a mining knife was. And why they spelled it minEing. MinCing. Oh.
  13. Today
  14. My Henry Big Boy Silver came with my SASS number on it.
  15. That would be fun to have around for parades and such.
  16. My parents told me to always shake hands with a chimney sweep for good luck. I've only seen one in the last thirty-five years when we went back to Utah to visit family.....and he was in a 24th of July (Utah statehood day) parade.
  17. I am and will continue to do so.
  18. I have bi-racial grandson and a daughter-in-law with six step grandkids of African extraction and a ton of step great grandkids. I'll cause anyone who abuses them in any way a lifetime of grief.
