How do you pick grandchildren Christmas gifts?

 

Set a budget per kid?  One gift or multiple?  Tell the grandchild's parents to get one for you?  Take them for an experience with grandpa?  Ask each if they were naughty or nice? ...

Wife figures it out. Twelve grandkids, from 12 to 31. Three of them married. Now six great grandkids. Then there's the five kids and three spouses.

 

She likes to buy for all. I flee as far as I can.

The older one has a nice late model car that his other grandparents gave him for high school graduation. Both of them have passed, so we just make sure it’s in good shape.

 

The younger one has an old, but fairly nice, small pickup. It needs some trim and the passenger door replaced where the idiot that owned it messed it up.  I’ve found and bought all the pieces needed and his dad and I will have it in tip top shape for Christmas.

 

We only have the two!  They live close and visit often, so we usually know what they need and what they like!

My grandnieces give me access to their Amazon Christmas wish list.  I just pick out something in my price range and have it delivered to my house.  I wrap it and give it to the girls at Christmas.  Works pretty well.
