Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) I'm registered! I think I can predict what some of the starting lines will be . My second match ever in '99 was the first Whoopin' Ass, as it was originally called. We got rained out halfway through! I have made most of them. Lot's of memories, lots of good times. For grins, here's the pics and stories from the 4th Annual Whoopin' in 2002: Whoopin '02 It was also a wet one, lots of straw thrown down which mixed into the mud. It became a lost brass match, and pieces of brass were coming out of the ground for ages. @Dragon Hill Dave #59561 you need to fix the practiscore link, the period at the end messes it up. Will Kane Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I too shot The Whoopin' in 2021 and had a great time as well. A couple of months ago at Gunfight at Gamble Gulch, I won a free individual shooter entry to The Whoopin' 2025. Sadly, due to a now-definite scheduling conflict, I will not be able to attend. I've asked Dragon Hill Dave if I may give the free entry to someone who'd like to enjoy a great match along with some great Cabs hospitality, and he gave me the okay. So, anyone who'd like to use the free entry (maybe someone who's never been?) is welcome to PM me an "I'll take it". Will Kane 2 Quote

Dragon Hill Dave #59561 Posted Monday at 11:42 PM Author Posted Monday at 11:42 PM More Cool Shooting Fun at Whoopin'- Team Shoot and Duel Plate Challenge Consider signing up for our team shoot, which will be held Saturday afternoon after lunch. Inspired by the shootout in Open Range, a team of 4 shooters will engage pistol, rifle, and shotgun targets, all the while ferrying a teacup and saucer to each position, with a final shooter playing Boss Spearman shooting it out in the jail with the evil cattleman Baxter, . And challenge your buddies to the Duel Plate challenge featuring the 6 target Dueling Tree. Each of you will have 3 dueling tree plates on your side. You will have 10 pistol rounds and 30 seconds to try to swing the dueling tree plates to your opponent’s side. The one with fewest plates at their side after 30 seconds wins. Be sure to bring heavy enough loads to flip the dueling tree plates. Ya' gotta shoot the Cabs! Quote
