Red Rider Rudy
Was at a estate sale and found a sealed four pound jug and two bags of shot at a really good price. Looked some, but could not find light load data.

Abilene, SASS # 27489
What cartridge? For .38 Spcl, Hodgdon only shows WST load data for 140gr and heavier bullets. I shot a couple thousand 125gr TC with 3.2gr of WST in .38's. It shot just fine - I would occasionally see a few unburnt powder grains, but not much. The only reason I switched to N320 for my .38's is because it was the middle of the Pandemic and I could no longer buy LNLR AA's and started loading my own shotshells and I wanted to save the WST for the that. For 12ga I use 14.4gr WST with 7/8 oz shot and a gray wad. I could go lower but this crimps well and feels no heavier than LNLR to me. 1

Abilene, SASS # 27489
Only problem with Hodgdon data is that the lowest it goes is 1150 fps.
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Here's some of my favorites with WST for Cowboy - considerably lower velocities! C45 Special 175 grain bullet, 4.2 grains 45 Colt 200 grain bullet, 5.8-6.2 grains 45 Auto 200 grain bullet, 4.6 grains Makes Wild Bunch power factor All stuff I have shot for 10 years. Lonesoms Al SASS37893
Been using it in 38's for years. 3.3 gr. for 158 and 130 gr. bullets. In a 2003 Winchester manual it lists a 158 gr. with 3.3 gr. WST at 705 fps. 1
