SOLD NIB Taylor Uberti 1873 Carbine .45LC

Posted (edited)

Sold. his is a new in matching box Taylor Uberti Model 1873 carbine in .45LC. This is an out of stock model.  Metal is blued.  Nicely figured Walnut stock has checkered wrist and forearm.  The one distraction is a brass medallion in buttstock stamped WILD WEST (Sigh!). But it lends itself to being replaced with a customized piece. Not a mark on it. A 100% gun. $975 + Shipping to your FFL.  Add $30 if my FFL has to ship.

Interesting, this is the first carbine I've seen with factory checkering.  Great price - though out of stock, Taylors lists it at over $1500!

That medallion is easily hidden with a butt-cover!

The 19" carbines should hold at least eleven .38s

Oh.  Well, technically, what i said is still true. :D

So, I just checked my 19" carbine which is 44-40 but that is the same length as the longest .45's.  It has a trimmed magazine spring, only 2" past the end, but it holds and cycles eleven.  Yes, these carbines go to eleven! :)

My Cimarron 16" trapper has the special spring and end cap and holds ten .45's, but tight!  So I finally switched to Schofields in it.  It was my Wild Bunch rifle.  Notice I said "was"?
