Subdeacon Joe Posted April 10 Share Posted April 10 It became a classic film on WW2. 12 O'Clock High · Nov. 7, 1947 letter from Daryl Zanuck to Gregory Peck regarding the starring role in "Twelve O'Clock High." Clark Gable wanted to play "Frank Savage." According to Zanuck's letter, "from the very beginning we have all visualized you in the role." Zanuck was right about Peck as "Savage"& about the movie's significance. Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted April 10 Share Posted April 10 (edited) You'll notice that the same planes keep getting shot down throughout the series, and some of our P-51 fighters will go from "razor backs" to bubble tops from angle to angle in the same raid.
