I have read that it's actually pretty good, something between beef and lamb, very lean except for the hump, which has lots of intramuscular fat, and so is appreciated for its tenderness..

If you look it up you can find an entry about stuffed camel that was satire in a 1971 novel. However it is real and made for things like a wedding feast.
