H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I really wonder if this engraving pattern could be duplicated on a real revolver. I think it would be pretty cool.https://www.ebay.com/itm/185599392946?hash=item2b3695fcb2:g:E0MAAOSwm~tjNe3U&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoGg4KaY0JOcIMyp4PhZ1zw47K5VYHLyC7GCMaMWZobKoaeiVeQBJy8pHZa1JEPQ%2FknpKpTaIY4wfyCwNP9ibDn8%2BerDn2EgHmNOwG0U9tSXEM%2Fx9fBmWGHZBYMzJRwCdUbnv1li1K1l6quXX40fK5JlfL%2FoQRGuYFJiCo%2BXd5vZtV04VJG%2Bl0AtEnnkTmVbWL2mSswzaU0KMBCoLqNyZNkA%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5jrnvCAYQ
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 This is the first (prototype) Cimarron Thunderer, (Mike Harvey nicknamed it the "Pimp's Dream"). I have a Thunderer with the same rare Pearlite grip and have plans to duplicate the engraving and then nickle it to make a tribute gun. Engraver Terry Theis was at Cimarron one day and I showed him this gun. He was familiar with the engraving style but couldn't recall the name of the guy who does it. Told me he could do that style on mine. It's on my bucket list to get it done.
Robin Trains SASS 80595 Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I have not dealt with this artist, but noticed he had a presence at the 2022 Land Run event. Great looking and diverse work!https://thegunengraver.com/shows/
Oak Ridge Regulator Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I have had 2 gun frames engraved by Jim Downing aka the gun engraver, his work is outstanding, fast, and very reasonably priced, a great guy to deal with who loves doing cowboy guns, don’t hesitate to send your ideas to him about what you want engraved I’m pretty sure you will be happy with the results

Something tells me he shoots fancy guns.
