Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Got a coin in my change today that at first I thought it was a Chinese coin that got slipped into my change. Covid and they are celebrating the bat? Print was so small I could not read it. Got home and looked at it with my opti-visor. Turns out I had it upside down. It is supposed to celebrate American Samoa but I still wonder why they would choose a bat and why American Samoa is written in microscopic print? Edited May 3 by Larsen E. Pat Riot, SASS #13748
I got one of those a few months back. My first thought was “What the hell?” then I did the same thing as Larsen and got out a magnifying glass. I actually thought it was some kind of CoVid / Bat gag.

Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
They made the selection and the dies in 2019. The bats are the nearly extinct Fruit Bat native to Samoa.
