Chili Pepper Pete 11917
Not 100% sure but based on the 4 digit serial number (61XX). I’d say 1909 or 1910. Best regards, Chili

Chili Pepper Pete 11917
Both. Most people use light smokeless loads for side match’s. Thanks for inquiring Chili

What is the function of the thumb side lock? thanks, Ethan Obviously, I am not Chili. But if I may. There were disparaging remarks made by the likes of Colt that all the bad guy had to do was to reach over and pull your top lock, opening the pistol and shucking the cartridges leaving you helpless. By adding the thumb lock this alleviated that possibility as they both have to be moved to open the action.
