Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Howdy Chinese & bit rough with the finish but forged steel is good - yes ? I was after a cheap auto & this one ticked the boxes, have heard a good gunsmith can make them a handy gun to have..not really interested in that as it will just be a bedside companion [ have to say that softly as this is Australia you know !!!! like heaven forbid we ain't allowed to protect ourselves !! ] Just like some input from any one that may have had something to do with them..thanks
Imis Twohofon,SASS # 46646
PM I have a Norinco 4th gen. 1897 that has been great . I shot it in CAS for 13-14 years. It was among the last group brought here then later banned by the Bush administration. If the price is good and it seems to work,I wouldnt hesitate to buy. Goody, SASS #26190
Actually a copy of the CZ 75, a very good platform. What little I just read had nothing bad to say on several sights except the almost universal gripe about the plastic grips. Looks like a winner to me. https://gunsgunsguns.net/norinco-nz-85-b/ This site goes into some detail about mods and a trigger job. https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=43017.
Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Thanks for the replies..I had forgotten about the import ban so I imagine there would not be many around, however I think I have a good buy so I'm happy. Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
I'm in Canada, where the ban does not exist, and I purchsed a Norinco 1911 "Commander" and a full size 1911A1 in .45 ACP, as well as a Norinco JW2000 open hammer 12 ga coach gun I used for CAS for a number of years. They were well built but a little rough, requiring a little judicious file and hone work. I still use the 1911 for WB Traditional but the coach gun has been moved on. The Norinco ammunition and it's brass has proved quite good, inexpensive and easy for us to obtain.
