Trigger Mike
My 12 year old son turns 13 shortly and wants to invite 4 boys and 4 girls. He wants to spend the time fishing but I'm thinking he should have other activities all will enjoy. Just what do 13 year olds do for fun?
Chili Ron
Howdy, Eat. Figure out the food and of course the cake. And how serious is the fishing.....or is it goofing off and ending up soaked to the skin? I bet this time of year HOT weather..... Can you make a birthday cake out a smores? Dantankerous
If they want to go fishing, encourage that. It's better than a bunch of kids sitting in the basement playing more video games. And a big YES two lots of food. Not all sugar-based either as you don't want 8 totally spastic overhyped super energetic teenagers running around everywhere. Pat Riot
Fishing and a weenie roast? Perhaps a plinking session?
DocWard
The first question I would ask him would be whether all of the kids enjoy fishing. If they do, then I would try to make it happen. If not, I would ask if there were a different activity that they all enjoy, preferably outdoors. Maybe a day hike or a trip to a local point of interest that you typically wouldn't get to, followed by a cookout? Round up a chaperone or two, with at least one being female, and have fun.
