Already have 2 - 45"s ( Kimber and Colt) along with leather, so need a rifle and conversion to 45 acp. Starting to look and checking options between buying one already converted (how much????) or buying a 45 colt and getting it done......(home much to convert????) and who can do the best job.....? Rolan Kraps, SASS # 24084 Life Posted May 21, 2018 Share Posted May 21, 2018 When I was researching this I remember one other guy doing the conversion, but I went with Cody because I already had a gun he had done and was pleased with it. Works great. Only thing is that you need to make sure that you push the shorter .45 ACP round further into the magazine to ensure that it passes the flap in the lifter that keeps it from traveling too far back.
