Col Del Rio
Aloha, Are there any good kits for slicking up Ruger Vaqueros? I love my pistols but do want to make them better. Col Del Rio
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Slicking is just done with new springs, files, stones and dyekem fluid or a Sharpie. Short stroking, hammer spur alteration, half-cock or reverse pawl - Shotgun Boogie short stroke kit is one. All depends upon what you want to do and your level of expertise to get 'er done. Neither of which you have laid out in the OP. Good luck, GJ
Turquoise Bill, SASS #39118
Bob James, James Guns down in Phoenix does action work on the Vaqueros, very reasonable. He can be reached through Legendary Guns in Phoenix: http://www.legendaryguns.com/home.html TB
Sedalia Dave
A wolfe spring pak combined with careful observation and a set of gunsmith stones helps a lot if you are mechanically inclined. If not find a competant smith. My go to guy is Boomstick Jay www.boomstickarms.com
Dantankerous
Just buy some new springs and change those out first. Shoot like that for a while. See if'n ya really want or need anything beyond that. Inexpensive, easy, and makes a noticable difference. Springs ain't really action work but they do make the Ruger a might easier to shoot.
