safeties on a Colt Mustang pocketlite

Are there any internal safeties on a newly made Colt Mustang Pocketlite other than the external safety?  If the external safety gets knocked out of place will the pistol be subject to random firing?

The first time I found my Mustang with the safety disengaged in my pocket holster was the last time I carried it

I carry one in a holster and I don't know how the safety would get knocked off! I suppose it could happen but then there's always the "finger off the trigger" safety!

I have a regular SS Mustang, carried it for quite a few years behind my checkbook in my hip pocket in hot weather. Far as I know the safety NEVER disengaged. More or less a teeny 1911.

The best I could figure was a soft holster and tight jeans caused the safety to rub off after who knows how long in the holster. I now carry an LCP and feel a whole lot more comfortable

Howdy,

How is that more dangerous than an LCP with NO such safety?

Henry, did your safety come off accidently then?  Do you know how?

In a pocket, anything can happen.

I have a Govt Model 380. I always have carried all my handguns in a high quality holster so I haven’t had any issues with safeties becoming disengaged.

As far as random firing, guns don’t fire randomly unless there’s something wrong with them or the operator makes an error.
