Marlin Buckhorn,SASS 51727
A couple of years ago I bought a good bench rest spotting scope stand from a pard here on the Classifieds. Looking for one now for my son. Anybody got one? How about a picture of it if you can. I can PM you my email to make that easier. Thanks in advance for your help, Marlin
burlesonbill
Marlin, Check with a local camera store, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. for a camera tripod. That's what many of us did when I was shooting in BR competition. The screw in the tripod matched most spotting scope receptacles. Some of the best tripods have adjustable legs that can work at bench height or extend to free-standing. You can also find many such tripod stands through an online search or through ebay. Good luck with your search! burlesonbill
Frontier Lone Rider
Most folks at the range just use camera tripods, the heavier ones of course. Some get a surveyors tripod, but you have to get an adapter because of the big hole in the top.
Chili Ron
Howdy, Did you look at the Sinclair bench stand over on brownells? Not cheap but should do the job. I think that's one I helped on about a zillion years ago. Best CR

The Original Lumpy Gritz
Do you want a freestanding tripod on the gnd or on the bench. This holds the heaviest scope in a strong wind with little shake. https://www.sinclairintl.com/optics/spotting-scopes/sinclair-bench-mount-scope-stand-prod37923.aspx Cry one time and buy the best- OLG

Chili Ron
Howdy, Read the reviews on the Sinclair stand. Good suggestions for little add ons. Best CR It took me three years of nagging to get the first one made. Most of the parts were for another stand. OR maybe look into woodworking clamps with a pipe and a tripod head off a used tripod from a garage sale? I never did git it to work but you might.
