Misty Moonshine
****UPDATE**** Version 22.3 of the SASS Shooters Handbook, dated November 2017 is now available online. In addition to the correction of a few minor typos, clarifications have now been made within the handbook regarding several areas that have raised concern and questions since its release. This latest version attempts to rectify many of the misunderstandings. Please take a moment and review the latest version. Misty Moonshine Here is a summary of the changes from Version 22.2 to Version 22.3 so that you can find them easily for review: SASS Shooters Handbook Version 22.3 (Changes made from 22.2) 1. Cover Page – Version number changed and date changed 2. Page 10 – “OPEN CATEGORIES” were redefined as “Open Age Categories” to eliminate confusion surrounding the definition of the term “Open”. 3. Page 5 – Reference to “Double Duelist” as a Style was removed. Further clarification regarding Double Duelist is provided in the text below. This eliminates any misunderstanding that “Double Duelist” is a separate shooting category from Duelist. 4. Page 10 – Further clarification regarding the Category mandates. Additional text added to ensure the understanding that “Categories offered at any match are ultimately at the discretion of the Match Officials to ensure the success and viability of each match individually.” Changed one word from “WILL” to “MAY” to further clarify. 5. Page 16 – Corrected a typo of the word “ANGELS” to “ANGLES” 6. Page 22 – Reformatted the list of MDQ penalties to better qualify- separating out two accumulated SDQ and adding additional clarification. 7. Page 28 – The first statement “- All firearms will remain unloaded except while….” Was edited to match the statement on page 16 for consistency. 8. Page 34 – Under stocks and Grips: the last bullet re: Leather on a pump shotgun’s fore end…entry was edited/clarified to include rifles. 9. Page 35 – Corrected a typo of the word/name “BEECH” to “BEACH” 10. Page 36- Under Frames & Receivers: an addition was made: “A set-screw may be installed on the frame of Colt Walker & Dragoon reproductions to keep the loading lever from dropping and tying up the action.” 11. Glossary Additions: 3 terms were added to the Glossary in support of the RO I Course materials: Gun Stoppage, Malfunction, and Convention. Hope this helps! However, I was able to download it from the second link under the RO COURSE MATERIALS heading. Well wait, that second one is still listed as version 22.2. I'll just wait patiently till it's all sorted out.
Marauder SASS #13056
Ramblin, just to sure, do a "refresh" on the page. (With my browser, I press the F5 key) If you have recently accessed the page before the update, the older page may still be stored by your browser.
