Classic Cowboy Question

Recommended Posts

Rule book says "Boots are required and must be of traditional design with no lug soles." Understand the no lug soles not the "Traditional design" part. Does this mean that lace up boots are not allowed in Classic Cowboy"

Thanks in advance for your help,

Marlin

IMHO, it depends on what kind of "lace up boot" you're talking about.

Packers have a historical presence in the 19th Century and I would say yes to them in CC.

Modern Lacers I would say No, they're a product of modern Rodeo competition.

This is just my personal opinion, others may have different ideas....

Yep, I wear traditional packer boots all the time in Classic Cowboy, they support weak ankles much better than (loose shaft) cowboy boots.

Good luck, GJ

I wear Justin lace up's. They have been challenged several times and They are legal. I need the support ,,,and all the help I can get.. I personally do not think the boots help you shoot or become a better shooter,,, they help you tolerate standing on your feet all day while waiting to shoot. A happy shooter is a better shooter !!!!! I wear Packers every day at work and in the barn where leather soles get eaten up quick.

My favorites are Boulet. Made in Canada.

Just do a Google search for "Packer Boots, Boulet". Their website has a store locator to find a dealer close to you.

T-Bone, we know you're a Gamer deep down!!! LOL Hope you're doin' well.
