Horace Patootie, SASS #35798
One of my Great Grandfathers small paintings had slipped behind the mat, so I took off the cardboard backing to reposition it. The cardboard is a picture of a couple that look like movie stars but may be some stock picture. The man looks a lot like William Powell. Does anyone recognize them? Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Could it be a poor picture of Myrna Loy and a broadside for THE THIN MAN movies?
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438
Definately William Powell. Can't say I recognize the woman. Not Myrna Loy. Mary Astor?

Horace Patootie, SASS #35798
Well, that proves it. When you want to find an answer to something, the SASS wire is the place to go. Thanks for the help ! My great grandfather painted mostly in the twenties and thirties. This little painting is from Devils River down south of San Angelo, Texas somewhere.
