  1. You missed a chance I think. You could have asked, "All successful?"
  2. The only problem with that is that today, .30 Carbine AMMO is hard to find. I would get a few of those Walther PPs. Even in .32, they're probably worth a lot today. And then I'd find my Dad and tell him to invest heavily in IBM.
  3. With all due respect to MizPete and Alpo, a nurse is not a doctor. That they were knowledgeable and competent enough to treat everyday cut, bruises, coughs, cold, etc. is not equivalent to being an M.D. And I'm sure that if one of your parents HAD been a doctor they would have treated you in a similar fashion, but for more serious ailments, I'm equally sure that they would have taken you to someone else.
  4. On Sunday evening after the auto parts stores are closed.
  5. I think for minor things, colds, cuts, contusions, sore throats and such, it wouldn't be too big of a deal. But say a Dr. was on call in the ER, and a member of his family was brought in having been in a car accident. He might be too emotionally distraught to treat the person as he would anybody else. So for consistent care, a Dr. probably shouldn't treat family.
  6. I don't think working on a wisdom tooth would have the emotional ramifications that surgery on one's family member could have. And yes.
  7. There's some pretty technical terminology in there. Wouldn't this go better in the Engineering thread?
  8. A few years ago, Roadkill took one of these and supercharged it, with LEAF BLOWERS! Video:
  9. Here we go again!! "Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been fined $25,000 for making a throat-slash motion after a dunk during a game against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday." Full article here: https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2024/12/06/celtics-jaylen-brown-fined-25k-over-throat-slashing-gesture/
  10. There's a Chevy engine that has the STARTER under the intake manifold, or at least in the valley under where one would be in a carbureted engine.
  11. Alpo wouldn't be giving advice, he'd be the Patron Saint of Questioners
  12. As with most sheeple, he's hoping to get both a pass and a payoff on his own stupidity .
  13. We always talked about Marine and Navy aircraft as being designed by people with advanced degrees, flown by men with Bachelor Degrees fixed by guys with High School Diplomas.
  14. It could be worse, they could design something and want YOU to BUILD it!
  15. There has to be WAY more to it than that. When I was a kid growing up in Columbus, there were people who had no connection with the school who absolutely DRIPPED hatred for anything Michigan.
  16. The fact that such rivalries exist doesn't mean that they make sense. Again, why DO these things exist?
  17. Thank You Rye. I never understood it either. We finally agree on something related to sports. Here in Arizona there is the same kind of rivalry, though not as intense, between the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. I don't get that one either.
  18. Yep. It's a Tombstone Special, just without the badge in the grip. I figure that since I'm not Wyatt Earp, I didn't need it.
