That's because the timing in that Colt is bad! Or as Boggus said it was handled wrong! It's obviously an old gun that's been shot a bunch! I have one Colt that has a ring around the cylinder because someone shot it and the timing was bad! It's fixed now so at least it won't get any worse! The "Ruger Ring" is a real thing!

In the video I saw they were shooting those cut down shells, probably why the woman for Mossberg said the recoil was manageable!

I'm lucky that I'm within 10 miles of 5 local gun shops and indoor ranges (2) The closest is 4 miles away. I try and buy everything I can from these local guys. They're all small businesses supporting families. I also am within 20 miles of 3 big box stores that I go to very rarely. Support your Local Gun store!
