  1. Hi Coffin Maker,

I am interested in the rifle.  Have you ever measured the end of the lever (opened) to the trigger.  There is a definition and description of how to measure it in the Handbook.

If it is not as short as "todays" rifles would you be interested in discussing a discounted price?

    Thanks,

Sorry to be so long in responding, I just realized you posted this on my profile.  Anyway, great to hear from you and I had recently asked Brandin about you anyway.  You two were always awesome posse pards and would be top choices for my ultimate posse if I were to put one together!  Anyway, I would indeed like to return to shooting cowboy again, but I really do have some problems getting around these days.  This is primarily due to a knee implant becoming infected that after 4 more surgeries pretty much left me disabled, ended my working career, and most of my recreational activities as well.   I even had to sell my motorcycle and the fishing boat, because I just couldn't make good use of them anymore!  Anyway, I can walk un-aided for short distances, but generally use a cane and I do wear out quickly.  Frankly, there will be no more "Run & Gun" for me and the competition was one of the things I really liked about cowboy action.  Still, shooting for the shear pleasure is attractive to me and I am trying to get back to it, but I guess only time will tell the tale.  In any case, great to hear from you and I hope things are well with you and yours.  Do you still shoot regularly down at Knob Creek?

      Wrong Ringer.

      You want Lead Ringer.

  9. Howdy Jeb,

This simply is not an offer.  You will probably sell the pistol for your asking price, or decide just to hold on to it.  I am just letting you know I have been looking for a Vaquero for a couple of months now.  My budget is very tight.  I have $500.00 I can put toward the pistol, plus $20 for the FFL that would receive the pistol.   So, if you reach a conclusion you want to move it, and you can let it go for $500.00 including the shipping, I would be interested in being it's new owner.

    Thanks for your time,

      KCD,

I think I'll pass.  It's a new unfired gun ,would be close to $700 in a store, I think $550.  is fair.

      Thanks Jeb

  10. Got the shotgun.  Thanks!

  11. If your shotgun is still for sale, would you be willing to sell it for $350.00 shipped to my FFL?  If you would, I will take it.

    Thanks,

  12. Up until NOW.......This is a STUCK UP!!! (I just couldn't say "stick up", cuz a cowpoke that has problems on this here wire, has to be awful dumb) 100% Feed Back for the Cowboy Classifieds! (Heck, it even fixes my speling!) KCD
  13. You got it. Thanks, Knob Creek Drover
  14. I am reducing the price to $350.00. I changed my mind on the price because it would make someone a real cool pistol, and at my age, I just don't shoot it anymore. If anyone wants the pistol, please be firm in wording. Thanks, KCD
  15. A nice SKB for Sale. A few cart dings, but no real flaws. The gun is ready to run. Colt McAllister did his magic a couple of years ago. Everything that can be done to a SKB he did; short stroked the lever, opened the chamber, and "coned" the chamber port, cut the barrel to 24", and lightened all the springs. I put a butt cover and large brass bead on it. It's a speedster and pretty too. I have another just like it, and I used this one as my back up. I would like sell it outright for $1,300.00 and I will pay the freight to your FFL - Continental US. Or, I will take a trade for a Stoeger or Baikal (or another good SXS) ready to run and the balance in "cash". I will use it for a backup to my other 200. So, if you would like to consider a trade as part of the "deal", let me know how much you want for your shotgun. I would like pictures, and we can come to a balance. http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB1_3546_zps1af5iknt.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB2_3539_zpsrbwe0wce.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB3_3540_zpsqy8jwux7.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB4_3541_zpsgpt6d1mv.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB5_3545_zpsdtzt3cns.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB6_3543_zpsra0bltjw.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB7_3544_zpsl5ax9ztr.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB8_3547_zpsa57rh262.jpg.html http://photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/SKB9_3548_zpssawtest9.jpg.html Thanks for Stopping By, Knob Creek Drover
  16. I am doing spring cleaning in January. I have a really nice Ruger Single Six 22 Convertible. Barely been shot. Both Cylinders 22 Long and 22 Mag in great Shape. Original Box, Original Booklet. Adjustable Rear Sight - Windage and Elevation - Front Sight has an factory Orange Insert. I can ship it your FFL for $395.00 which includes shipping to the Continental US. http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/Single%20Six%20II_zps9dgoha8f.jpg.html?o=0 http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/rlwilsonwindows/media/Single%20Six%20I_zpsnho7686i.jpg.html?o=1 Thanks for stopping by, Knob Creek Drover
  17. Hey Rolan, We met at Tennessee State this year - (that doesn't have anything to do with the cart or the dog, I was just putting context to our communications). I can't use the cart, but, how much for the dog? If I could get that dog, I wouldn't need to buy one of them drive-by-them-selves automobiles. He would do all my driving for me, and I could practice my 2-1-2's and 1-3-1's on Interstate Signage as we drive to next shoot. Now, that's cool! Keep the cost down lowwww! Knob Creek Drover
  18. Hey Joe,

Would you like me to make a real Cajun Gumbo and bring it the shoot? I don't want you to say yes, just not to hurt my feelings. But, if you like, I would be glad to do it. If you say yes, I will supply the Gumbo and Rice. Shaddai didn't have any rice and my Gumbo tasted too salty. It wouldn't have if it had rice.

Also, look for post on the wire ...
