Alpo Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Not my gun. The title of the thread I stole this picture from was CUSTOMIZED SINGLE SIX When I first looked at it I did not realize that it was lying on a picture of a flamingo. Because I was looking at the gun, not the background. So I read that title about "customized", and I thought, "yeah, that is customized. But how in the hell do you cock it with that flamingo beak on the end of the hammer spur?" I mean really, unless it's offset, it's going to hit the grip frame and you won't be able to pull the hammer back.
Subdeacon Joe Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 A little early for the spiked eggnog, isn't it?
Alpo Posted November 29, 2024 Author Posted November 29, 2024 Ain't that a pretty gun though? No aluminum. Steel grip frame, steel ejector rod housing, steel rear sight. Real color case hardened frame. Real stag grips. And a lanyard ring.

Pat Riot Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I like it! I would like one in .357 Magnum Some of the backgrounds people choose for posting gun photos baffle me. Be they for sale or just display. The worst is a guy on GB that posts guns on a black velvet background. A blued gun disappears, especially with the crappy lounge lighting. I think he thinks it’s cool…or it helps hide defects.

Just like meat in a store, the best side is always the side up. For the picture. Nice looking S6 with the case coloring and all. The flamingo gives it a tropical look and the ejector rod housing retaining screw looks loose. Ole'

How about the people selling cars that take pictures in shadow, out of focus. Or from across a parking lot.

It used to be that I would contact the seller and ask for better images. Nearly every time I got resistance and sometimes even snotty remarks back. Now, I don’t even bother. I move on. If someone is too stupid or crooked to take a decent photo of something they want to sell they don’t need my money and I don’t need their crap.

Or you post decent photos and descriptions and somebody wants more info or particular pictures, which I always accommodate, and ya never hear from them again. The least they could do is acknowledge that they got what they requested.
