Rip Snorter Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Smoked Eel was a treat when I was a boy and visiting German born Grandparents. Haven't thought of that in years. We also used to catch eels fishing in Long Island Sound. Tasty pan fried.

Now I haven't eaten snake, but Eel I have had tastes like fish, whether smoked or pan fried. I will say the fact that dead, skinned eel squirms in the pan bothers some folks.
