Alpo
I have eaten off of it. I have drank out of it. But I've never cooked with it. I have a set. Frying pan, stew pot, coffee pot. Just idly wondering if the enamel makes it in any way non-stick? Or if I wanted to fry some eggs, I best make sure I've got some kind of grease??? Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Lots of grease, in some cases. It's definitely not non-stick. I have Mikasa dishes, bowls, and such, but use "speckleware" plates and bowls daily - and enjoy the mugs for coffee. Seldom use the coffee pot, but it'll work. For camping and such I'll use my stainless steel... and at home just shove it under the Keurig. Rarely used the skillet ~ prefer cast iron for that purpose. But again, it'll work.

Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
So far it’s four-zip, use grease. 1 1
Alpo
That was my thought, but as I say I have never done it, so I figured I would ask people that probably had. And yes, I generally fry in cast iron. Matter of fact, I don't believe I've fried in anything except cast iron in the last 30 years. Hmmm. I guess that qualifies as, "I generally do that".
