Next is there is no charge of Felon in Possession of Firearms. "K9 Deputy finds approximately 23 pounds of methamphetamine during traffic stop.4 On Wednesday, September 13th, at approximately 6:15 am, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop near Stage Gulch Rd and Watmaugh Road. During the traffic stop, the Deputy noticed several things that suggested the driver was involved in criminal activity. The Deputy and his K9 partner conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle for narcotics and alerted there was an odor of narcotics inside the car. The Deputy then searched the vehicle and located approximately 23 pounds of methamphetamine inside the car. Based on the large amount of drugs, Detectives from the Property/Narcotics unit were contacted and continued the investigation. Detectives interviewed the suspect, and based on information the suspect provided, they wrote a search warrant for the suspect's residence in Vacaville, CA. With the assistance of Vacaville Police Department, the residence was secured. Detectives searched the residence and located the following: • Approximately one-half pound of methamphetamine • Approximately 1 kilo (2.2 pounds) of fentanyl • Approximately 1,500 fentanyl-laced fake M30 pills • Three loaded firearms (one stolen) • Additional ammunition The suspect, 33-year-old Enrique Sanchez-Arias, was booked into Sonoma County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance and felony transportation of a controlled substance. Sanchez-Arias' original bail was $0, so detectives obtained a bail increase from a judge for $250,000. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Vacaville Police Department's Investigation and SWAT team for their assistance in this case. Someone dropped off 4 boxes addressed to different parts of the country. The boxes just reeked of Marijuana smell. Like they barely tried to disguise it. About 80 pounds.
