Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 After reading the thread about the 1903 and 1903-A3 bolt differences, I got to thinking of my 1917 and how much I like it. Being an English Design, it seems to prefer a heavier bullet. I load it with an 180 grain spire point Sierra Boat tail, over a load of IMR 4895. The rifle has enough heft that recoil is not an issue for me. Just a sweet little lady doing what 30-06s do.
