Whiskey Hicks
My step dad just found two boxes of .45 special on the other end of the state and picked them up for me. I know they’re SASS legal. Are they able to be reloaded?
Black Angus McPherson
They should be. As long as they are brass and not some other weird material. I've never heard of .45 CS cases being anything other than brass, but ya never know. Angus
John Barleycorn, SASS #76982
Yes, Starline made the brass for that caliber. It is reloadable
Pat Riot
I have not tried making that round, but @John Barleycorn, SASS #76982hit the nail on the head. I did some research on it and decided to just continue with .45 Colt. There was no brass available, still isn’t it seems.
Tom Bullweed
Size with .45 Colt die. Case holder is .45 Colt. Flare, seat and crimp with .45 ACP. This does make a taper crimp. I always made a hard tape for loads used my rifly thingy. Standard taper crimp should be okay in a pistol unless the loads have significant recoil. Three Foot Johnson
No, they are not. However, I'm a collector of oddball brass, so if you would be so kind as to send them to me after you shoot them, I'd be obliged. I just bought a bunch of .32-20 brass from Larsen E. Pettifogger, and there was a loaded C45S in the batch, so now I have XXX + 1.
