I’m not a fan of country music, but I AM a Dwight Yoakum fan!! Not Jeff Healey, but that would fit the description!! You’re gonna shake your head when the answer is revealed. This is a really obscure number by a really popular performer!! It’s old too!!

Blackwater 53393 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 If we don’t get an answer to this one in another 30 minutes, I’ll post the YouTube clip with the title and artist!! I remember hearing this song when I was not long out of high school and being amazed at who the artist was!!
Blackwater 53393 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Okay!! Here it is!! The artist is Ronnie Milsap!! "The Cat Was A Junkie" This song rattled around in my brain for years, but I never went as far as finding it until a couple of years ago!! When I first heard it, it sounded like a B.J. Thomas song and it was a month or more before I heard the artist's name in connection with it!! I'd forgotten the title or that Milsap was the singer until I finally broke down and did a search by lyrics!!

Good friend and was a neighbor when we were in middle school!! LOT of history there!! He has played several SASS events with us in the past!! Also an avid shooter, though not in SASS.
