Utah Bob #35998
Hard to see the mountain over in Utah from here but so far everything is well north of us and heading away.
Doc Nelson #19958
Here in eastern utah along I-70, the sun is up nearly an hour before it has enough strength to cast a shadow thru the smoke. Red dawn rising every morning. Doc Nelson
Gateway Kid SASS# 70038 Life
Our fire is about 15 miles north and west of Grand Junction. Ash is covering the cars and in the headlights after dark it looks like it is snowing. We live in a valley and in all four major directions the Bookcliffs, Grand Mesa, the Uncompahgre and towards Fruita/Utah are completely hidden, it is like living in a gigantic upside down bowl. Light gets thru (sort of) giving an almost translucent effect. Regards Gateway Kid
Cyrus Cassidy #45437
Safe here, but the smoke travels so far we can see it despite the nearest fire being several counties away. People with respiratory problems are having issues.
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
As UB said...SW Colorado has been lucky so far this year. Only one fire a month or so ago between Cortez & Durango. Lightning started it and it is out now.
