Buggy O'BenSHOOTER Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I would like to reload some .44 M&H cartridges. Is there anyone who knows what cartridge case to use? Where to find any information on the subject. Thanks Gary Benschoter BUGGY O' SASS# 48243 gbenschoter@sbglobbal.net
Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Not that are easy to get, maybe they are now, but I think if you look at the case specs, I think .303 Savage brass was looking close before cut & form. I almost went down that .44 M & H rabbit hole.
LQ Jones Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 http://www.cartridge-corner.com/revolver.htm Scroll down to US, British pistol cartridges. Also, Happy Trails (Bill English, The Smith Shop) might have some good information for you. I think he used to fool around with a 44MH.

H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Not long ago, I learned of .32 M&H. Turns out that it's longer than .32 S&W, but shorter than .32 S&W Long. Meaning you can use the shorter S&W brass in the gun. However I don't know if the .44 M&H has any relation to any of the other .44's of the era. That might be the thing to research.
