Forty Rod SASS 3935
Just saw a new Corvette with a finish like gold plate. Didn't look at all like any paint I ever saw. Is this something new?
Pat Riot
Yes, but I can’t explain it. I am not sure if it’s paint or a graphic overlay. I have seen a number of cars with highly reflective metallic paint jobs. They look like full size Hot Wheels cars.

Thanks Loophole. There is a car in Huntington Beach that has coloring like this photo. When the sun hits it the colors are almost blinding. Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428
There is a Camaro i see most days with the gold finish. It has black rims with the red strip around it. Looks exactly like an oversized hotwheel.

Well, if I recall correctly, the guys at Gas Monkey built a Corvette for Hot Wheels, and the toy boys in turn built a Hot Wheels version of it. The full size version was wrapped in gold film.
