Trailrider #896 Posted September 14, 2018 Share Posted September 14, 2018 According to the Chicago Tribune, a traffic stop turned into a shootout, in which a police officer was shot several times. He is in good condition following surgery. As the suspect was getting away a citizen with a concealed carry permit shot at the perp! The perp is in serious condition. It isn't clear whether the shot that took effect came from the citizen or another officer! A legal CCW permit carrier...in Chicago! Hope it was the citizen that took him down! Pat Riot Posted September 14, 2018 Share Posted September 14, 2018 A CCW permit is possible in Chicago. It takes a lot of jumping through hoops but you can get a CCW permit within the city limits. The only reason you can is that all the Un-Constitutional laws that had been in force for nearly 30 years had been overturned in 2003 and in 2010.
