Come On Christmas Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I have been watching the Major Sharpe series on YouTube. The character who serves as more or less the Gunnery Sargent totes a multibarreled carbine. What is it? i have read some of the Sharpe series books long ago. Are there like minded historical fiction books you would reccomend? Even in different eras. Thanks Crayfish

Thanks Crayfish Bernard Cornwell has written a few other series apart from Sharpe and they are worth a go (there is a Civil War series, Arthur and a Vikings and Saxons). If you don't mind sailing adventures then there is also Hornblower (that's the character) and the Patrick O'Brien series of books (he is the author)
Ron "Ironhead" Smith Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Anytime you have a question about a gun in a TV show or movie google "firearms movie database" and chances are it'll come up with what you want to know.

Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663 Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I've read every "Sharpe's" series book at least twice. Same with the "Hornblower" series of books.
