Iditarod Kid
Hardpan: Honda builds these little screamers at plant at airport here in Greensboro. Engines built in Burlington, about twenty miles down I85. I have seen them on test flights for the past two years (alternate runway path goes over our neighborhood). Supposed to have first delivery within sixty days. See you down the trail......

Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Four and a half to $5 million, CR... about $2 million less than a Twin Otter. O' course, the Otter will carry a bunch more folks.
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
It just occurred to me... This thing is likely the aviation equivalent of the Honda Element - extremely practical and equally ugly.
JudgeBagodonuts
It was announced, IIRC, about 12 years ago. It's taken that long to move from development prototype to FAA certification. During the long delay to certification, the market for them has significantly shrunk. Small corporate jets aren't that hot any more, especially with the recession causing so many mid size corporate jets with very low hours to come onto the market. Forty Rod SASS 3935
It just occurred to me... This thing is likely the aviation equivalent of the Honda Element - extremely practical and equally ugly. UGLY? Man, I think it's pretty little bird. Why is it that a Japanese plane has about 95% Caucasians working on it?
The Original Lumpy Gritz
UGLY? Man, I think it's pretty little bird. Why is it that a Japanese plane has about 95% Caucasians working on it? It's made here-That why FAA is involved. BTW: 12 yrs from 'blue-sky' theory, to the first FAA certs, ain't bad. OLG
