I am now caught up on all orders placed prior to Land Run.
Chili Pepper Kid, SASS #60463 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 The one with the Chili Pepper is so cool!! I ordered one from your website. I just want the engraved Chili Pepper.
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Very good. I can do that. I sent you an emal, but that clears it up!
El Hombre Sin Nombre Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Did you say mine was sent out? I haven't received it yet, but I also have a pretty lousy mail carrier. That or she is punishing me for all of the bullets I order.
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Got mine, love the elk! I'm anxious to try them out!
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Redwood, I'll check orders in the morning. It's either on it's way or will be by the end of the weekend. I've been seriously overloaded with orders and am working my fool-head off to get them all filled! I'm thinking it's on the finish rack ready for final assemby and shipping, but I could be wrong! I've made over 500 blocks already. SHEESH! My poor little CNC machine is running 18 hours a day cutting, milling, engraving - I think I need an upgrade! Maybe someday I'll make a video so you folks can see the contraption (as the wife calls it) of a machine that makes these beautiful blocks. Not only did I make your blocks, I made the machine that made your blocks! Including the electronics and computer interface. Most of the computer boards were etched by me, soldered by me, tested by me. . . the only thing that commercially purchase is are the stepper motors. but I digress. . . I equate it to the ice machine Doc makes in the final "Back To The Future" film!!!

I'm very impressed that you built it yourself, even the circuit boards.
El Hombre Sin Nombre Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I just got my loading block and it's awesome! Mine was 45 colt pistols and 44wcf rifle. 45 colt rounds will not fit in the 44-40 holes. I tried haha. Now even I can't screw up at the loading table. Thanks a bunch. I really like the quality and the design a lot

Please refer to our ad in chronicle and our website www.oldwestjdk.com. Dusty Dee & Rusty Rider

I developed the block from scratch. I do not own, nor have I handled one of your blocks, though I have seen it on the web. The only comparison I have is from customers who have both your block and my block. Apparently the similarities end at the basic outline of the block. They're not even the same size. It's important to note that I have paid to post on the merchant corner as well. It would seem to me that the only links that would be appropriate on a commercial post would be those secured by the guy that paid for it.
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Thanks Rusty, I got your order and will take excellent care of ya!
Zolas Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Those look sharp for sure! They will look great with my wood ammo boxes.
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Had the privilege of making a few blocks from some very special wood for a fellow Pard. He sent me three slabs of specialty wood, Two Bubinga slabs and one Purpleheart slab, and told me to make as many as I could. Here are a couple of photos of just three of the eleven total blocks I was able to make for him. Very proud of these, they turned out great! The buyer asked that they be left unfinished so he could apply boiled linseed oil, so I wet them down for photos.Purple heart: Bubinga Together
El Hombre Sin Nombre Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Those are great. I didn't know we could get different wood. I might have to have you make me another one, only this time with redwood because, well.................... By the way, I should have read the instructions. My 45 colt rounds wouldn't fit in the slots. I thought that I might have to open up the holes a bit. Then I read about leaving it in the sun to dry out and now they fit. You know what they say about us men and following directions.
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Redwood, Glad they're fitting now. They will loosen up a bit more with use. The stain I use was chosen because of how deeply it penetrates the wood. The downside is that it can swell the wood slightly. the upside is that they wear really well.
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Those are really nice. I think its great that SASS has gifted folks who use their talents that enhance our shooting game. ..........Widder

Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Hi Yul, most likely yes. As long as it's dimensional lumber a minimum of 3/4" - 1" thick. Minimum dimensions for stock to make a single block is 3" x 10"
Yul Lose Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I'm going to look through my hundreds of pieces of scrap and see what I can come up with this week and I'll be needing your mailing address.
Hurricane Deck 100366 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Yul, I'll send you a PM with my address.
Rusty Two Guns Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Got them yesterday. I'm very happy with them! Thanks! Rusty
