Col Del Rio
Greetings, Any recommendations for a sling on an 1897 Pump (clone)? Colonel Del Rio
John Barleycorn, SASS #76982
Pass on the sling. Disaster waiting to happen on a competition shotgun. Don't think they are legal either as the mounts may be an external modification.
Russ T. Sites
If it's for cas a sling will just get in the way sooner or later
PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L
LEGAL (SHB p.4)...but NOT recommended for reasons already mentioned.
Cliff Hanger #3720LR
If this is for competition in cas, it can be compared to running up and down stairs with your shoe laces untied and flopping about. Soon or later they will be involved in a big wreck. If your interest is for other than competition, I would think just about any western leather maker could help you out on that. watab kid
if only asking for correctness the M1907 would be the correct one , if for SASS - refer to above posts , you might also use an M1923 or M1917 but they are less correct in use , if VN era you could use the M1 variants and be in keeping with the times , but then .......a trench art made item would not be out of keeping if you were looking at that period as well
