An offsite meeting before hand is a good idea, otherwise you have several people, each with their own idea of where things are heading and it's hard to keep up and nearly impossible to leave bread crumbs that you plan to work in later on. Heck I don't find much of a reason to spend time here these days, but I do miss some of the interactions and the folks I've developed a friendship with such as yourself.
