  1. Our club (Wartrace Regulators) use 3D Printed sixguns. PM to Lucky Lead Pepper.
  2. Heck, I camped next to you for three days and shot in your posse and still didn't know who you were.
  3. I only see BB and the crew a few times a year in Alabama or Tennessee, and he always gives me a big smile and good conversation, especially if it's having a bit of lunch after the morning matches. They're just another example of why people love this game.
  4. All these are spoken for. If there are more requests I may have more in a month or two.
  5. I can make one in 10 gauge, but because the holes are larger, I have to either make the tray bigger, or have fewer than 50 holes. I made a 10 ga for Blackwater and it holds 28 shells in a block 10" by 7". For 50 shells it will be about 14" X 9". I can do really any size, it's just that larger sizes take more time and material. Do you want a 10 GA and a 12 ga, or just the 10?
  6. Ever had shells falling or spilling powder and shot when hand-dipping powder or when roll crimping? These hardwood shell holding trays will help greatly. These are made from solid Red Oak with 50 holes sized to fit 12 gauge hulls brass-side down. I make them with a 45 degree chamfer to make them easier to pick up. (I can also make them for 10 GA hulls, but that will take a bit longer.) The second pic shows the 28 hole 10 GA tray. The last pic shows you can tip these a long way and the shells don't fall out. I have a few available for $20 plus shipping. Or Face to Face at a shoot in Wartrace or at the Alabama State Championship. I have one 12 GA tray left, plus I will have a 10 GA available in a couple days.
  7. I only carry enough stuff to get me through the day's shooting; all major cleaning and maintenance stuff stays in the truck. In my cart I have: Shotgun chamber brush Squib rod Screwdriver set Pistol cleaning rod with brush Small bottle of Ballistol Squirt bottle of Moose Milk if I'm shooting BP If I have major gun issues, I'm not going to tear down the gun. I carry a backup rifle, shotgun, and one revolver in the cart if the range is far from the parking lot. For monthly matches I usually leave backup guns in the truck.
  8. I also had that problem with my Ubertis using wire-style Bolt Springs. However, two of the original flat-style bolt springs broke in less than 4 full seasons. I don't know if both springs were from the same revolver or if each revolver broke their original springs. Since then I replaced the entire revolvers with a pair of Great Western IIs (Pietta) and haven't had the problem since.
  9. In addition to the Cut The Rope, we also had a Texas Star and a shotgun popper/flier.
  10. I recommend the book "To Wake the Giant" by Jeff Shaara. I couldn't put it down..
  11. Dad was there. USS Pelias (Submarine tender) moored straight across from Battleship Row. He was in a "bucket brigade" carrying ammo to their gunners. I found this battle report on line. https://www.history.navy.mil/research/archives/digital-exhibits-highlights/action-reports/wwii-pearl-harbor-attack/ships-m-r/uss-pelias-as-14-action-report.html
  12. Interesting. I hadn't realized that Cap and Ball revolvers are allowed in Frontier Cartridge. Not sure why you'd want to register that way instead of Frontiersman, unless there weren't enough shooters registered for Frontiersman. Or if you wanted to shoot your C&B two-handed.
  13. For what it's worth, I use the bullet seating die set to not crimp, followed by a Lee Factory Crimp Die. Very rarely will a round have a bulge, but if it does it gets fixed with the FCD. It's nice to not have to check every round to be sure it will chamber.
  14. We had a monthly at Wartrace, and Randy St Eagle was reading the stage instructions and explaining how to get down onto the horse blanket for rifle, then up on left knee for right pistol, followed by on right knee for left pistol...finally someone realized that the match was being held on April 1.
  15. Some of these comments should be placed on his YouTube post. I just looked and a lot of them think that CAS is just as "bland" as his biased portrayal. Peiople seeing that might never try true Cowboy Action.
  16. These two are spoken for to Blackwater and Major At Tillery. I might have a few more later, but probably not until after Christmas.
  17. Great for holding hulls base-down...useful when hand-dipping powder or roll crimping. Solid wood...one Walnut, one Oak. $20 each plus $5 shipping.
  18. So you guys that have one: does yours also require you to "work the lever" to close it? I'm wondering if Hickok's gun had something wrong with it.
  19. The '66 doesn't have the trigger block safety. Does that cause problems? (FWIW, I used a '66 for a few months and sold it, partly because of no trigger block safety.)
