  1. This is a really great rifle and caliber, the 30” barrel has an excellent bore, has a Lee Shaver long range rear tang sight and a Taylor’s wind age adjustable front globe sight, disclaimer here ,the screw in cap on the bubble level came off somewhere in Wyoming and the bubble level slid out. since it was something I never used anyway I never contacted Taylor’s and replaced it, doesn’t effect the sight function. It is a match rifle so has some very small ding marks and one small scratch, see the pic. This is a very accurate rifle, buyer gets my BP loading information if they want it and 50 brass cases. $1500.00 plus shipping.
  2. I’m in for the beef! You are what you eat, not insinuating anything for those that want the bird! LOL!!
  3. Happiest of birthdays to you Dawg!!
  4. Alrighty Cowgirls and Cowboys, here’s one of the best shoots around, fast, well written scenarios, excellent covered stages, lots of movement and great steel targets. Really good food and awards finishes up a great time, the range owner Scott Wayne really knows how to put on an outstanding cowboy action match, best get your entry’s in early for this one, entry form on the Lincoln County cowboys website. Hope to see ya there! SCJ
  5. Anytime, let me know what you think of it.
  6. Good pard to do business with and great shot for our sport!
  7. Good advice above, I highly recommend the book “Shooting Buffalo Rifles of The Old West” by Mike Venturino. Read it then read it again, it answers all the questions you have and a lot more!
  8. I have owned and loved a lot of 1874 Sharps rifles made by C Sharps, Shilo Sharps and Pedersoli Sharps rifles over the last 45 years , in several calibers,45-90 ,45-110, 40-65, and 45-70. they all shot VERY well, always black powder and always hand crafted lead bullets. I have done very well in competition with them but I have settled on one rifle that I shoot exclusively now, the Pedersoli 1874 Sharps Quigley, heavy 34” barrel. In 45-70. If you plan on shooting out to 1000 yards I highly recommend this rifle and this caliber. PM me for the loads I use and if you can find one I highly recommend this rifle.
  9. Congrats on one of the finest pair of 45’s I have ever seen!
