Michigan Slim

My cousins in Michigan told me I talked like a hillbilly after being in northern Indiana a few years. Took a buddy up there walleye fishing and he made fun of my Michigan accent coming back after a couple days. German and Dutch area.

We went to a harness for walking years ago. Dogs all came from the shelters with good collars.

I spent a summer in bandages, in and out of a burn unit. My siblings remember that year. I do not. I remember falling in the fire, the look on my mothers face running up to me, and that pain is white and tastes like metal.

With the bullets I cast, as well as store bought, I get much better accuracy from my Winchester 94 than I do from my Marlin. With jacketed bullets it's a dead heat.

I have beat on my Stoeger both in CAS and in the woods for 15 years. I have failed IT horribly, but it has never failed ME.

It is! It was on the railing but a woodpecker knocked it in. They come in rather hot sometimes. I put feeders on our blinds. Keeps you busy when the deer are not there. I highly recommend safety glasses!

I'm off for the week. Headed to the cabin in Michigan tomorrow with my wife for the deer opener on Wednesday. Hunting until Friday, then home for the opener here with the kids. Might try to catch a trout too. Hope I can keep this schedule up. Rough duty.

A 57 year old nut, and a socket still fits it. A modern 10 year old lug nut and it is mangled and nothing fits it.
