Trying to fast at shooting duelist
SGT. ELI 35882 GUNFIGHTER replied to Stagecoach south's topic in SASS Wire
Hammers are subjective to the individual shooter. I have a short stroked pair with SBH hammers, a regular pair with standard hammers, and a regular pair with the tall hammer all new model vaquero. On the clock the non short stroked tall hammers are the fastest for me. If I put the short wide hammers on regular stroke gun the crowd my thumb too much. -
Question about a particular sweep: WTC
SGT. ELI 35882 GUNFIGHTER replied to Widder, SASS #59054's topic in SASS Wire
Yes. No beginning target specified. -
I have had guns in the shop that the gate would rub the bottom of the link, depending on the kit and gate style being used.

I buy out of this trailer everytime at Tennessee State. -
FedEx is the absolute worst shipping out there. I never use them and always dread it when something has been shipped to me FedEx. There is no accountability for their actions.

How do you shoot Gunfighter?

Double cock out of holster, then alternate. -
What would cause a NMV's firing pin to hit like this?
SGT. ELI 35882 GUNFIGHTER replied to Buckshot Bear's topic in SASS Wire
Less likely to happen, but I had one come in the shop that worked fine when the shooter shot one handed, when he went to 2 handed it would skip. Went thru the usual stuff, no fix. Noticed the drag line was not centered and measured the notch location and they were about .100 too far forward. Cocked slowly the bolt would catch the notch, any speed and it would let the cylinder fly by. Sent to Ruger, they confirmed and replaced cylinder. -

After 50 years of manufacturing the original owners of USA based Magma engineering have decided its time to go fishing - hope you catch plenty Eric. Fortunately for all there is light at the end of the tunnel We are now in the process of transferring all the information to our manufacturing facility based in Melbourne Australia. This will be by no means an easy or fast process but rest assured we will get there. As yet no website or email address have been set up however, we are working on this and all updates will be posted here. While we get ourselves sorted, we will be focusing on parts and molds before tackling full machines. We look forward to this adventure and hope you join us for the journey. -
At EOT a couple years back a shooter had pad on inside of sg belt, shells conformed to body. He was not allowed to use belt by Match Director. He chose to cut the pad off his belt instead of borrowing or buying a new one. A lot of shooters using that style belt had removed the pads but he was unaware it had been deemed illegal. You also cannot tuck a bag or towel between body and belt where the shells are.

You have 10 shots to take down 6 plates, all plates are down after first shot, remaining 9 go to the dump target.

Clean. Curious, was there an option on rifle targets that are clear hits but don't fall to be made up, or is the shooter at the mercy of targets staying adjusted.

I have all shotgun, batwing, and chinks. Shotguns are my favorite but harder to put on, my current pair have 6 clips for each leg. Batwing have 2 clip, easier to put on, and chinks have 3 clips. Chinks are the easiest to move and shoot with. The heat has never bothered me with any of them. Ease of putting them on will depend on how many things you broke and bent in your youth that have caught up with you.

S S.....doesn't that stand for Sixgun Seamus?

We use rope made for pulling fiber optic lines. It lasts all season and doesn't fray and get those nasty stickers like nylon rope. We got a bunch free when they were installing line nearby, then bought some last year that was about $30 or $40 for 1,200 ft.

That aids in drying to avoid water spots, not shine.
