I do not trust electronic voting. In the North Carolina election in 2008 I voted for McCain. My readout showed I voted for Obama then it disappeared. There was no print out. I raised hell and was threatened with being arrested. Then some young guy showed me where my vote was tallied for McCain. “The screens have been showing votes for Obama all day. It’s a glitch.” Yeah, right.

Too many teachers that I can recall turned kids off with their history lessons in my day. Why? Because the teachers focused more on the dates and time lines of when things occurred than they did what happened and what we could or should have learned from each incident. I can recall numerous “C” grades on my papers / tests because I couldn’t remember an actual date but I could recount the events that occurred on those dates accurately. I had teachers that were baffled by my knowledge of events but I could never recall the dates that they occurred. I think that method of teaching soured future teachers over time and these teachers got tenure or went off to work in government and at some point there was a consensus that history wasn’t important. Was it a conspiracy started 70 years ago by communists that infiltrated our schools of higher learning? God only knows. We imported enough Europeans after WW2. I’m sure there were a few in the wood pile. OR was it just bad teaching policy? Either way, we are not better off as a society or a country.

Dang! Those are some fast upload speeds. Are you an online gamer? One is good enough for my needs. I operate at the speed of gun forums and searches. My wife operates at the speed of funny animal videos.

When I was around 5or6 years old I told my Dad I had a lollipop made just for him. He said “Really?” I said “Yeah, look Dum Dum, Pops” I spent 15 minutes standing in the corner.

I truly do like the service we get from Xfinity. We were disappointed when we moved here and found out the only game in town was Comcast Xfinity. After we started their service I would check the download rates using an app called “Speedtest”. Day and night we get fantastic download speeds. Plus we rarely have an issue and if we do it’s remedied in minutes. I am glad we stuck with them.

Well, we just spoke with Xfinity and told them we were leaving unless they discount our rate. They did. We’re happy. Screw Frontier and their cumbersome system.

I only have Comcast Xfinity, Frontier Fiber and Breezeline available. Comcast in CA was a PITA in Sacramento (2010-2013) but here they’ve been great.

NEVER MIND - Thank you for looking. My wife and I have Comcast Xfinity. The service is very good and we commonly see download speeds of 650-700 MBPS and upload speeds of 20-25 MBPS. For streaming videos and the use of 2 smart phones it’s pretty darn good… Except recently our bill went from $50 per month to $102 per month. We decided to check out Frontier and their system in my town is all Fiber Optic. I was signing up this morning when they discovered my credit is frozen. Oops, forgot about that. So I hung up and unfroze the credit agency Frontier uses as primary. Once done I called back. That’s when the hassle began. I called and there was a 25 minute wait. I opted for a call back when it was my turn. About 20 minutes later their system called me back. I answered and the automated system started telling me I needed their App. I declined. The system asked for my new account number. As I was punching buttons to enter it I bumped the “End Call” button. Sonofa…. I called back and was told the wait was 25 minutes. The system asked if I wanted to download their App and proceed from there. I said “No”. They thanked me for my call and hung up. This happened 3 times!!! I was pretty ticked, but I decided to take a shower and decide what to do about this. Cancel or try again. So I decided to ask my Pards here in the Saloon. Is Frontier worth my time. It’ll save me $45 a month. But I have to be honest. We have never had a major issue with Xfinity. Saving $45 might be adding a true PITA to my life. What say you?

It really doesn’t matter. Soon the aliens will come, but we gotta get the planet cooler so they can move about freely. Their agents have been greasing the rails for a certain type of politician for years so those politicians can manipulate the masses in the Americas and Europe. The initial invasion…I mean, appearances will be in the northern hemisphere. The trouble is the sea dwelling aliens that are already here are actually warming the planet by manipulating the core to throw off the positions of the magnetic poles. They’re also using a very small black hole to manipulate gravitational forces to get earth a bit closer to the sun. There is some debate about where this singularity is. Some believe it is in the Marianna’s Trench while others believe it’s in orbit opposite the moons orbit. Certain politicos think we humans can cool the earth by jumping through their hoops at our own expense. Personally, I applaud the sea aliens in their efforts. It’s October and it’s still motorcycle weather here in God’s Country.

I did a quick search and the majority of online prices for these revolvers brand new run from $2000-$2075. On this pair of guns alone Aussie prices are a little better.
