  1. CBB, before "gun fighter friendly stages" became a thing, we split pistols or pistol locations regularly. IE 5 pistol, 10 rifle 5 pustol or 5 from here then 5 from there. Since a non GF shooter would have shot a gun empty at the 1st instruction, there would be no opportunity to "strategically reholster" therefore it was unnecessary to point out to non GFers that reholstering as a strategy is not allowed. Having both guns out w/ adrenaline running, some double cock, and the TO unable to focus on two hammers simultaneously, it would be easy to reholster a cocked pistol. Is the risk of being shot in the leg worth this? Again we can just replace the word gunfighter w/ shooter and your problem is solved: "fair and equal for everyone"
  2. The rules are not different for gunfighters. Anyone who miscounts and holsters w/ the hammer down on a spent round only receives a miss. The clarification is that they may not be reholstered as a strategy. We could remove the words "a gunfighter" and replace with "a shooter" if it makes some someone feel better about it. The rules wont change.
  3. If youve struggled with "not interested in participation years ago..." raise yer hand 😆 To answer the question 60

  9. Folks if you haven't already signed up there is still time. This year the gang is shooting 3/14 & 3/15, friday after noon and sat morning with dinner and awards sat night. There's also a potluck on friday with the club providing the main dish https://www.thecowboys.org/2021-ghosts-of-the-gfbtjl-match
  10. Are you actually in barstow? Are you on any of the facebook pages?
  11. Have you found what youre looking for? Did you have questions?
  12. I shoot regularly at 5 different clubs. Rifle cant be last at 3 of them. For me, i regularly give shooters the option but we dont have prop walls at our monthly matches so its really a non issue. If the muzzle is thru an opening and the shooter's body may prevent the TO from getting into a good position, then it's not the best idea.
  13. Taylors and sons offers the stallions with 4 3/4 barrels. Its the .38 smaller frame w/ the birdshead grips. They have some in the dings and dents . Theyre going to get dinged and dented, you might as well save a few hundred dollars
  14. He wasn't a bad guy in All the pretty horses or the hateful eight, although I guess he had a questionable past in H8 CC
  15. The lightning, having a smaller, lighter frame, shouldn't be subjected to 357 pressures. I've never tried but I'm guessing you can't fit it in the cylinder as is. Curiosity may get me to check. CC I answered your pm. See you there.
  16. frog, where are you? i have a pair she can try. my wife shot them till she pretty much wore them out and now shoots a full frame with gun fighter grips. she can try these lightnings, my thunderers or her GF grips. send me a PM with contact info or tell me where you shoot. we live in norco and you can usually find us at west end or cajon on saturdays. CC
  17. sent you an email hoping it doesnt go into junk.
