COOLER HEADS AND COMMON SENSE

I’ve been sitting here waiting on my foot to heal and I’ve had to listen to and watch all of the political garbage that is steadily being fed to the viewing public!

Win or lose, in less than two and a half years, if this is still a Constitutional Republic by then, we’ll have to come up with another candidate for president!!

In a perfect world, we’d have a person who is level headed, smart enough to know that he/she doesn’t know everything and still competent to surround themselves with people who know and can deal with those things, and reputable enough to withstand the the criticism and mud slinging proferred by the not so loyal opposition!

We need to be looking for that person NOW!!!

We should always be vigil for those kinds of qualities in the people we select for leadership in this country

Unfortunately those kind don't seem to run very often. Is it due to being so outnumbered?

In some cases, (I won’t say most or all) the candidate with the highest qualifications is ignored or even cancelled by the media because he/she will never be swayed by media attention or agenda!!

Attorney, actor, Senator Fred Thompson is a prime example!! He was intelligent, educated, level headed, capable, and had no personal agenda.  What he had to say made more and better sense than ANY other candidate in that election cycle.

The media virtually buried him by refusing to cover his campaign with any kind of regularity. Instead they chose to sensationalize candidates like McCain and their own darling, Odumbass!

By promoting a less than satisfactory candidate for the side they don’t want to win and getting them the nomination, they can have a better opportunity to get their own less than satisfactory candidate elected!

We have suffered from this for decades now, not being able to hear from viable candidates who would be much better for everyone!!

Until we can overcome this issue, we will continue to be fed only what the biased media is willing to tell us!  That is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Sadly, I believe you nailed it. With main stream media owned by the left I'm afraid it won't change soon. Hopefully regular folks that are on the left will wake up soon.

This is how Trump won the nomination in 2016. News media thought he was a joke with little to no chance of winning. Yet his name was said 10 to 1 of any other candidate from either party. When he beat Hillary the MSM and the democrat party lost it. Spent the next 4 years doing everything they could to discredit him.

Now here it is 2024 and we have to choose between a very bad candidate and a significantly worse candidate. :(:(:(

To support the thread that my buddy, Chickasaw Bill, offered this morning, I’m bringing this one back to the top.

Rather than rehashing these in his column, I ask that you read what I and others have already said and use it as a reference and guideline for your thoughts, comments, opinions, and suggestions!!
