Towards the end of The Farmer's Daughter you'll recognize James Arness in his first movie.  Movie is worth watching just to see Loretta Young.

there is so much to say about these old movies but im just going to say i enjoy them all and yes those ladies were beautiful to be sure , growing up in the era of marlyn manroe and jane mansfield was one aspect of life but another was seeing those others on screen , lorretta young , the young barbara stanwyick , and so many others ,

im glad i lived in the era  to see farah fawcewtt and barbara bach but there is something about the gals that came before them that stirred my blood

Agree.

When I watched the movie 'Pearl Harbor', I really loved the looks of how the actresses were dressed up and adorned to look the era.

Very classy looking.

There was an aura of poise, grace, and elegance that seems to be lacking now.  Same for most of the male actors.
