Just had an interesting experience

I was shopping for some bullets. And I found some. They cost a whole lot more than the last batch of bullets I bought, but then everything costs a whole lot more nowadays.

 

It was $82.

 

So I put it in my cart and I'm starting to fill out the form and I noticed it says it is now $96.

 

Whiskey tango hotel??

 

They have added - the people selling these bullets have added - "adult signature required".

 

I can sort of understand that for primers or for powder. Maybe even for loaded ammunition. But for bullets??

 

And it wasn't a "this automatically gets tacked onto the order but you can delete it if you don't want it" thing. I couldn't make it go away.

 

And then I did the math. $82 + $6.75 for the adult signature makes $96?????

 

So I decided I did not wish to do business with these people. And I closed the window.

never had my adult signature 'verification' whatever add anything to my order - taxes , shipping , hazmat yes but not being a responcible adult buying what i can legally buy , next time some liberal tells you our freedoms are at stake in this election - point out they are the ones stealing our liberty and freedoms please , just sayin

No, that hadn't been added on yet. Neither the shipping nor the tax.

 

It appeared to be simply a case of "we will add 2 + 3 and get 8, and our customers are so stupid they won't notice".

This company is charging $6.75 extra to claim that you're an adult? That's crazy!

 

What company is this? If you don't want to state the company name here, please PM me the info, if you would, so that I NEVER purchase anything from them.

Whatever the company it is, their lawyers got involved.

 

And they would rather lose the sale than pay for civil case they might lose.
