Another member has been scammed by outsiders (not even Wire members) pretending to be the seller and having the payment sent to them via Paypal Communicate by PM. No one can see your private messages except you and the seller. Check your public profile and delete your contact information if you have added it. It was the fact that this guy was on the Wire that I was concerned about. He may snare someone else with his advertisement ! Quote

It's possible he hasn't gotten around to emailing you yet, and some scammer is trying to get in before him and take advantage of you. 1 Quote

Make it something difficult, with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Write it down so you can find it again. People are impersonating SASS Members whose accounts they've hacked and posting items in the classified forum. Everybody, check your profiles and past buy/sell/trade posts to make sure you haven't posted your e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information. Don't buy anything with PayPal Friends & Family or other forms of payment that leave you no recourse if a transaction goes sour. Someone is going to steal your money. Quote
