The two we have in are a little rough but I think they will be able to run with a little elbow grease

Great! Slick one up, document it (videos work well) and give us a full review. Would love to see the content.

That's actually in the works.  I just need to get someone who can be in front of a camera without breaking the lens to do the talking part. .

As I recall, the original JM Marlins were pretty rough right out of the box too.  The Marlin 94 is a lot cheaper to slick up than the Uberti 73.  Good video.  I'm glad to see Ruger producing a good rifle for SASS.
