Alpo Posted January 13 Share Posted January 13 Can you think of anything - one thing - that could be removed from a pistol - any pistol - which would cause it to blow up when you shot it? Guy on another board said that that happened in some movie - he gave the title but I forgot - and he wanted to know what it could have been. I thought of several things that if you remove them it could cause interesting things. Take out the recoil spring and shoot it. Remove the slide stop on a 1911, since that's what holds the slide in the frame together. If you manage to shoot it - if it stayed together well enough without the slide stop to remain in battery - it would go back against The recoil spring and then the recoil spring would throw the slide off the front of the frame.
